Sims Vectors

These are possibly the first Sims wheels. Not branded, and supposed to smell of Juice so the legend goes, which gave the name Pure Juice to the Sims brands products. Not sure if I believe this, maybe it's just a nice story.
Note the radiating 'fins' to give strength to the lip profile.

  • Inset - 0mm
  • Durometer - 80 ?
  • Date - 1976 ?

Sims Bowl Rider

Another wheel that everybody will recognise. The Bolwrider was rubbish to actually ride, 2 3/4 inches wide! made it slow, there's a lot of urethane on the ground.

Sims Comp II Single Conical Red

Conical back version of the Comp II wheel. The back is machined to produce a profile that allowed easier transitions from the coping.
Many manufacturers rushed to make conical versions of their wheels, in a bid not to be left behind.

  • Date - 1982 ?
